Studio Weekend

 

After a clear and thorough explanation of the Art & Styles of Voice-Overs you'll work first hand with various microphones, (large & small Diaphragm, Dynamic & Condenser, Cardioid & Shotgun), and different recording techniques, (normal & close mic, on & off axis, single & ensemble, etc.)

Although the 18 hours of studio recording is a fast paced, high energy, upbeat experience, Mr. Flynn is well-known for his ability to focus on each student's personal abilities & potential during the studio session.

In the Studio you'll work with:

  • CD-Rom & Multimedia scripts
  • Corporate Videos
  • Audio Books
  • Animation Voices

You'll also become familiar with the effects of various mics & recording equipment, (tube pre-amps., digital effects, pitch shifts, etc.).

 In addition, you'll get to work on different techniques for improving breath & sibilance and plosive control.

Students will enjoy two intense days recording in a state-of-the-art, digital audio facility.  All work is done with broadcast quality studio mics & equipment.
